Sports Physical Therapist
Jessica Dabis, P.T., D.P.T., O.C.S., is the lead performing arts therapist at Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and went on to receive her doctorate in physical therapy at Texas Woman’s University.
She is a board certified clinical orthopedic specialist, as well as a dry needling provider. She is a member of Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine (PRISM) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She has worked with both youth and professional athlete populations, with a specialty focus of serving performing arts athletes. She has a passion for working with dancers and gymnasts to manage overuse and recover from injuries, with mindfulness of the patient’s seasonal and long-term goals. She has a strong interest in promoting education on safe load management and injury prevention “prehabilitation” strategies to decrease future injury risk.
