Early Identification of Dyslexia
Early identification of dyslexia can lead to early intervention. When appropriate intervention is applied early, it is not only more effective but also can help to decrease secondary consequences associated with reading challenges such as low self-esteem. This session will review early indicators of dyslexia and test analysis by using developmental expectations, skill expectations, and patterns of performance.
The Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children offers a seminar for assessment professionals with graduate-level training and certification in test administration and interpretation, including Educational Diagnosticians, Licensed Specialists in School Psychology, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
