Expert Lecture Series: Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder
AD/HD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that can have debilitating effects not only due to its core symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity but also associated features that impact a student’s academic, social, and emotional functioning. Presenters will provide a comprehensive overview of AD/HD diagnosis, common functional impairments, and evidence-based management strategies. Participants will learn to identify associated features, understand their impact on school performance, and recognize the educator’s role in supporting the success of students diagnosed with AD/HD.
