Presented by the staff of the Orthopedic Department at Scottish Rite for Children, this one and one-half day course will focus on state-of-the-art treatment protocols and current research conducted by the residents, fellows and staff physicians at Scottish Rite for Children. The program will utilize case presentations and question/answer format. Faculty are also invited from across the country to share their research and practice protocols. Ample time will be allocated for discussion between audience and the faculty. Shea, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon at Stanford University Medical Center and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Shea grew up in Montana and California, graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is the current president of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA). He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
