At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Describe musculoskeletal pathology associated with obesity in young athletes.
- Interpret findings in clinical evaluation of an obese youth athlete with a traumatic injury to make a proper referral.
- Identify key clinical features of common musculoskeletal conditions in obese young athletes.
Target Audience: Open to all health care providers working with young athletes to prevent, recognize and treat injuries. This includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, physical therapists and athletic trainers.
