Javier Masquijo, M.D.

Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon
Javier Masquijo, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine surgeon at Scottish Rite for Children in Frisco. He earned his medical degree from the National University of Córdoba in Argentina, followed by a pediatric orthopedic residency at Sanatorio Allende. He then completed two pediatric orthopedic fellowships at the Hospital Garrahan in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Masquijo is an active member of distinguished orthopedic professional associations, including membership in the prestigious International Pediatric Orthopedic Think Tank (IPOTT). He serves as the International Editor for Journal of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (JPOSNA) and is a reviewer for multiple high-impact scientific journals. He has authored over 140 peer-reviewed articles and contributed 15 chapters to medical textbooks. With more than 20 years of experience in pediatric orthopedics, Dr. Masquijo focuses on the comprehensive care of young athletes and sports-related injuries.
