Hamza Alizai, M.D.
Staff RadiologistHamza Alizai, M.D., is musculoskeletal radiologist at Scottish Rite for Children. Before joining Scottish Rite, he was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at New York University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging and intervention at NYU Langone Medical Center in 2018 and his diagnostic radiology residency training (American Board of Radiology's B. Leonard Holman Research Pathway) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2017. He also performed a research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in 2011-2012. Alizai's primary research interests include the use of advanced and novel MRI techniques for the assessment of cartilage integrity and bone quality. He is a past recipient of the Radiological Society of North America's Research and Education Grant and an active member of six professional radiology societies. Alizai has published 34 peer-reviewed articles and presented over 50 abstracts. He actively reviews scientific papers for 20 medical journals.
