Pediatric Psychologist

Lauren Cox, Ph.D., is a licensed pediatric psychologist at Scottish Rite for Children. She works primarily within the Orthopedics department to support patients and families seeking treatment for complex foot and ankle conditions, spine and hip disorders, as well as limb lengthening and reconstruction. Her interests are focused on psychosocial functioning, treatment decision-making, surgical preparation, pain management and parenting a child with chronic health needs.
 
Cox has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. She completed her predoctoral internship/residency in pediatric and child clinical psychology at the Texas Child Study Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX. She then completed a research and clinical fellowship in pediatric psychology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Pediatric Psychology.
