The 19th Annual Spine Symposium at Scottish Rite for Children is a full-day educational course focused on current treatment strategies and emerging research in pediatric spinal deformities.
Early identification of dyslexia can lead to early intervention. When appropriate intervention is applied early, it is not only more effective but also can help to decrease secondary consequences associated with reading challenges such as low self-esteem. This session will review early indicators of dyslexia and test analysis by using developmental expectations, skill expectations, and patterns of performance.

This special conference is designed for individuals with cerebral palsy or spina bifida, their families, clinicians, educators and researchers to come together for a day of learning, connection and support. Attendees will hear from a multi-stakeholder panel featuring patients, parents, clinicians and researchers who will share insights and answer questions about navigating life’s many transitions. There will also be opportunities to connect with other families and access valuable resources. We look forward to supporting and celebrating the CP and spina bifida communities together!
Treasure Street, Scottish Rite for Children's signature event, is a highly anticipated event that brings together some of Dallas' finest. In honor of it's 29th year, we will be celebrating this annual event on Thursday, October 23. The public is invited to enjoy an evening with live music, bites of some of Dallas' tastiest cuisines, extravagant auction items, drinks and dancing, all in the spirit of fundraising for Scottish Rite's mission of giving children back their childhood. Tickets are $100 per person and include dinner and drinks.

Summer Colors - An Art Auction, now in its 14th year, was an idea born out of passion for both art and the patients of Scottish Rite for Children.
In 2009, Jenny Grumbles and Loren Koziol teamed up with their longtime friends Jill and Dupree Scovell to establish the Summer Colors art auction as a labor of love benefiting the patients of Scottish Rite for Children.
Now in its 14th year, this colorful showcase of texture, tone and technique has grown into an annual event that features masterpieces from more than 45 established and up-and-coming artists, hosts more than 300 art enthusiasts and raises tens of thousands of dollars to support Scottish Rite's remarkable work and mission. With a stunning mix of styles ranging from classical to contemporary, this inspirational evening brings artists and art lovers together for fellowship and to fundraise for a fantastic cause.
Crayon Club’s unique, child-friendly event scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, will bring together families for a magical meet-and-greet experience complete with superheroes, princesses and other characters. The event will include breakfast, an autograph session, silent auction, face-painting and more. All proceeds from the 2025 Character Breakfast will directly benefit the patients of Scottish Rite for Children.
Throughout the decades, the Brandon Carrell Visiting Professorship has served as the avenue for staff and alumni to come together to discuss the latest advancements in pediatric orthopedics. As we mark the 47th anniversary, the legacy of this program continues to have one theme in common – family. Representatives of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders' educational, diagnostic and research teams will provide an overview of dysgraphia. Defining, diagnosing and evaluating handwriting problems, and how to assist children with handwriting instruction and intervention, accommodations, and using technology will be discussed. The seminar will conclude at 11:30 or when Q&A is completed.
