    Michelle R. Christie, M.D., is Medical Director of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine and Director of Neurophysiology at Scottish Rite for Children. Dr. Christie … received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she completed her general pediatric and pediatric neurology training. After residency, she completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, becoming an expert in performing neurologic procedures such as electroencephalogram, nerve conduction studies/ electromyography and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring in pediatric patients. She is double board certified in neurology with special qualification in child neurology and clinical neurophysiology. She enjoys treating all neurologic disorders but has special interest and research in hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), holoprosencephaly (HPE) and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT). Her professional associations and affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology, The American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and practices at Scottish Rite for Children.
