Don Virostek, C.P.O., L.P.O., is certified in both orthotics and prosthetics. He has been with Scottish Rite for 20 years and has a passion for working with children. He received his Bachelor of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1988 from UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Don has been actively involved in the exam process for the profession for over 20 years and was the President of the American Board for Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics in 2012. He enjoys staying active in all aspects of both the orthotics and prosthetics departments with a strong interest in scoliosis treatment and lower extremity bracing. When away from work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, three boys and their growing families.
Don Cummings has been the director of our Prosthetics department since 1987. He grew up in Ecuador where his parents were missionaries. He became interested in the field of prosthetics in 1978 when, as a freshman in college, he lost both legs below the knees to bacterial meningitis.

In 1981 he received a Bachelor of Science in Generic Special Education from The University of Texas at Dallas, and in 1984 earned a Bachelor of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is an ABC Certified and Texas Licensed Prosthetist. When not at work, Don enjoys fishing, writing, photography, reading and spending time with his wife and family.
Diana Halback, M.S.N., CPNP, RNFA, is a dually certified primary care and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner at Scottish Rite for Children in Frisco with more than 12 years of experience in pediatric orthopedic care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She also completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship for orthopedic providers. Diana is a member of the Pediatric Orthopeadic Practitioners Society (POPS) and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). She has held leadership roles in both organizations at the local and national level. She is currently the treasurer for the Pediatric Orthopeadic Practitioners Society.
