Karl E. Rathjen, M.D., is an assistant chief of staff and pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Scottish Rite for Children and sees patients at our Dallas campus. He also serves at the organization’s Foundation President.
Cherlyn Caneda, APRN, CPNP, RNFA is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Scottish Rite for Children in the Pediatric Orthopedic department. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, CA and shortly thereafter completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005.
She is a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioners Society (POPS) and American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. Cherlyn joined our Scottish Rite time with over 19 years of experience treating children with acute and chronic neuromuscular conditions in the outpatient and preoperative setting.
Hong Putnam, P.A.-C, is a certified physician assistant at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas. She received her Bachelor of Science at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions in Philadelphia, PA.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. Her special interests include nonoperative management of scoliosis, clubfoot, hip dysplasia and generalized orthopedic conditions.
Kristen Lord, APRN, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Florida and her Master of Science from Texas Woman’s University.
Kristen is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Practitioners Society (POPS). Her special interests include nonoperative management of hip disorders such as Legg-Calve-Perthes and hip dysplasia as well as limb lengthening and reconstruction.
Jessica Landson, P.A.-C., is a certified physician assistant at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Charleston and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
She also completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics. Jessica is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Practitioners Society (POPS), the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). She is an adjunct clinical instructor of the Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her special interests include scoliosis and spine disorders, clubfoot and other foot disorders, hip disorders and general orthopedics.
