Cherlyn Caneda, APRN, CPNP, RNFA is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Scottish Rite for Children in the Pediatric Orthopedic department. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, CA and shortly thereafter completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005.
She is a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioners Society (POPS) and American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. Cherlyn joined our Scottish Rite time with over 19 years of experience treating children with acute and chronic neuromuscular conditions in the outpatient and preoperative setting.
Emily Chapman, APRN, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Angelo State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington.
She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). Her special interests include scoliosis and spine disorders, spina bifida and generalized orthopedic conditions.

She is an associate professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and sees patients at our Dallas campus.
Christine Murphy, M.D., FAAP, is the medical director of Pediatric Developmental Disabilities at Scottish Rite for Children. She received her medical degree at … University of Texas Medical Branch and completed her residency training in Pediatrics at University of Texas Medical Branch. Due to her interest in pediatric medicine, following residency, Dr. Murphy was accepted into the faculty development program in medical education where she earned her professional certificate from the University of Texas Medical Branch Scholars in Education Program. She is passionate about partnering with families and meeting the unique needs of patients with personalized medical care.
