How the Family Resource Center Helps Your Family
Caring for your child can bring a lot of questions, especially after a new diagnosis or when starting treatment. The Family Resource Center is here to help you feel informed, supported and more at ease.
Here, you can find trusted information, connect with helpful resources and take a break when you need it.
Services include:
- Health information and education: Access books, brochures and YouTube videos about conditions and treatment. Many resources are available in English and Spanish.
- Help finding resources: Get guidance about community programs and support groups.
- Time to learn and recharge: Use the space to read, relax or take a break during your visit.
- Technology access: Use computers, internet access and printing when you need it.

The Family Resource Center includes a dedicated social worker who can help visitors find information, resources and support. Whether you are looking for materials about a medical condition or searching for community resources, the social worker can help connect you with the information you need.
How to Access the Family Resource Center
The Christi Carter Urschel Family Resource Center is available to patients, their families and community members.
The center is located at the Dallas campus and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. No appointment is needed.
