UT Southwestern Medical Center is jointly providing this activity with Scottish Rite for Children.

Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of this learning activity, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the common spine and back problems that affect adolescents.
- Discuss how to effectively evaluate an adolescent with back pain.
- Describe appropriate timing and causes for additional work-up or referral for specialist evaluation for adolescent back pain.
Target Audience: Open to all health care providers working with young athletes to prevent, recognize and treat injuries. This includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, physical therapists and athletic trainers.
