Scottish Rite for Children and the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders is offering a one-day seminar designed for regular education professionals who want to have a better understanding of dyslexia. This is for those teachers and administrators who want to learn more about dyslexia, laws, intervention and accommodation support for students with dyslexia. Come to learn the facts and debunk the myths about dyslexia.


This session will include:

  • an in-depth study of the definition and characteristics of dyslexia
  • how to develop and implement accommodations for students with dyslexia
  • a review of the laws and guidelines that guide dyslexia identification and intervention requirements in Texas public schools
  • demonstration of the use of comprehension strategies for classroom and home use
  • information covered in the TEA Dyslexia Handbook
Come to learn the facts and debunk the myths about dyslexia.
