Commitment to Excellence: Accessible Pediatric Orthopedic Care

Since 1921, we have been committed to treating the whole child – mind, body and spirit. With a focus on quality patient care, research and education, the hospital provides individualized and comprehensive care to every patient – regardless of their ability to pay.

As a leading institution for the care of children with orthopedic conditions, our doctors are dedicated to ongoing research. Medical staff travel the world to share leading-edge research to ultimately bring better care to children, both here and across the globe. In addition, our staff is actively involved in the community – educating fellow medical professionals to enhance the quality of care for all pediatric patients.

In particular, the hospital’s Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine is dedicated to caring for young and growing athletes. As youth sports become more competitive, our team understands the need to educate all who influence a young athlete – coaches, parents, athletic trainers and others. Providing tips on how to keep an adolescent safe during their sport and what to do if they are injured, is crucial to keeping kids in the game.

Last October, the hospital opened its first satellite location in Frisco – Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center. With an increasing need for world-renowned care to young athletes, expanding the hospital’s presence has allowed for more access to families throughout the North Texas area and beyond.

The center is tailored to the unique needs of young and adolescent athletes, such as a state-of-the-art Movement Science Lab, a sports and physical therapy gym and access to indoor and outdoor running tracks. In addition to providing leading-edge sports medicine care, the center also offers day surgeries, orthopedic outpatient clinics and a fracture clinic with walk-in hours. The location in Frisco includes rheumatology, hand and radiology services.

As an institution, we stay true to providing premier care to every child regardless of their financial background. The hospital participates with several private and public health insurance plans like Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and Cigna. Additionally, the hospital offers a financial assistance program called Crayon Care, for families who qualify.
