Finger, Hand and Wrist Injuries: Quick Fixes to Complex Problems

The recorded version of our Coffee, Kids and Sports Medicine lecture series continues as we practice social distancing and connecting with our community in new ways. In the latest lecture, now available on our on-demand learning page, staff hand surgeon, Chris Stutz, M.D., gives a thorough review of finger, hand and wrist injuries including fingertip injuries. Stutz practice is focused on the hand and microvascular surgery.

Lecture objectives include:
  • Introduce common hand injuries seen in pediatric patients including fingertip injuries and fractures.
  • Review treatment recommendations based on current evidence of common hand injuries.
  • Discuss when intervention is needed with a finger injury.

More about the Series
This free continuing education series, originally offered live on our Frisco campus, provides community physicians and other health care professionals with tools and resources to manage musculoskeletal conditions in their practices. Our multidisciplinary staff have covered the unique needs of pediatric and adolescent patients and offer didactic lectures and panel discussions on a wide variety of conditions in young athletes and active children. Particularly popular are live exam demonstrations of the shoulder and the ankle, available on our playlist with many previous lectures.
