What is your role at the hospital? 
I’m a phlebotomist in the lab. I draw blood and collect samples from patients and staff.
 
What do you enjoy most about Scottish Rite for Children?
The environment and the children. I especially love to help kids leave the lab with a smile on their face. 

What was your first job? What path did you take to get here? How long have you worked here?
My first job was at McDonald’s when I was 15. Years later, in 2015, I relocated to Dallas and moved into an apartment nearby the hospital. I was beginning to apply for jobs that week and noticed that there was a lab position open. I applied, got the call for an interview that same week and was hired! I feel like it was just meant to be. I’ve been here for almost four years. 
 
What’s the coolest or most interesting thing you’re working on right now?
My spouse and I have an event planning business. We enjoy making people’s dreams become a reality.

American Horror Story
 
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
The President of the United States.
 
What is a fun or interesting fact about your hometown?
Former Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle, Jermey Parnell, is from my hometown of Blytheville, Arkansas.
 
What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not working? 
Spend time with my spouse and my two boys - my miniature schnauzers.
