Get to Know our SRH Staff: Ray Kleposki, Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner, Fracture Clinic
What is your role at the hospital? What do you do on a daily basis?
I am a nurse practitioner in the Fracture Clinic at the Frisco campus. The Fracture Clinic manages the care of children with fractures and acute orthopedic injuries.
What led you to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children? How long have you worked here?
I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 1996-2011, I worked at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a nurse/nurse practitioner in orthopedics and anesthesia/sedation. The opportunity arose for me to join Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and I’ve never looked back. I have been here since 2015 and this is the greatest position I have ever had, in the greatest health care organization that I’ve ever been a part of.
What do you enjoy most about Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children?
The people – everyone from upper leadership to environmental services. There is a pride and ownership of working at Scottish Rite Hospital and is palpable in every aspect of the organization. Never in my 18 years of being in the medical field have I witnessed this level of desire to always do the right thing for the patients.
What was your first job?
I was nine years old and sold Philadelphia soft pretzels from house to house on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I coach rugby and football.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I would be a pilot.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
Skydiving, but only once – that was enough!!
