Get to Know our Staff: Michelle Loyd, Ambulatory Care

What is your role at Scottish Rite for Children?
I am the nurse coordinator for Dr. Stewart in the Rheumatology department. When I am not in clinic with her, I assist the other rheumatology physicians. On a daily basis, I communicate with patients and their families as well as work with pharmacies and insurance companies for various patient needs. When in clinic, I coordinate necessary radiographic studies, collaborate with other teams and provide patient and family education. I help to answer any questions they may have, plus provide education on new or current medications and treatments.
