Get to Know our Staff: Scott Hatchett, Radiology
Where did you go to college?
I earned my bachelor's degree at Texas Tech University. I went to El Centro for my radiologic technology associate degree and received my master's degree in radiology administration from Midwestern State University.
How long did you serve?
I served for a little over six years in the United States Marine Corp Reserves, while I worked and attended Texas Tech.
What led you to Scottish Rite for Children?
I was fortunate enough to be placed with Scottish Rite for my pediatric rotation, while attending El Centro. While my rotation was only five weeks, the patients here made a huge impact on me.
How long have you worked at Scottish Rite?
I’ve been here 10 years. I started out working as an OR technologist.
How do you help your patients feel comfortable and confident?
I always try to make them laugh right from the start.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The relationships that I have made with my team and others throughout the organization.
What was your first job?
I worked on several ranches - building fences, hauling hay and driving grain trucks during wheat harvest.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I graduated high school with just 25 people in my senior class.
