Cynthia A. Woerz, M.D.

Director of Anesthesiology, Medical Director of Acute Pain Management

Cynthia Woerz, M.D., has served as the acting director of anesthesiology since 2016, medical director of acute pain management service since 2001 and medical director of respiratory care since 2015 at Scottish Rite for Children. Dr. Woerz is an associate professor in the department of anesthesiology and pain management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed residencies in pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Greenville Memorial and in anesthesiology at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Woerz is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society.
