top of the slide on the school playground, I didn’t hesitate on where I needed to take her!
I immediately knew that the only place to go was Scottish Rite. Thankfully, the Frisco location is right up the street from us. Charlotte was in so much pain and traumatized, as she had never broken any bones or experienced a fall of this nature. As soon as we arrived, there was an entire staff of loving professionals that came to her side. Everyone we interacted with spoke to her gently. The building even speaks to a child’s heart and eyes. All of this allowed me to be present with this youngest angel of mine thru it all, minus the operating room of course.
No matter who we came into contact with - the professional security guards at the entrance, assistants who help get you checked in, nurses, techs of various kinds, the psychology counselor (yes, I know! Right?!?), the doctors - it is one special experience
. Charlotte is healing perfectly and doing great. She is eager to get back to swimming and playing tennis and loves that her dog Peaches has been by her side throughout it all.
