Last weekend, Scottish Rite for Children hosted its annual Pediatric Orthopedic Education Symposium (POES) – a half-day seminar for pediatricians, family physicians and advanced practice providers to learn the latest in orthopedics and sports medicine. Like most of our medical conferences, POES went virtual this year for the first time with recorded lectures and exam demonstrations from our experts with live Q&A. 

The program was divided into two categories – common adolescent athlete injuries and general orthopedic concerns for the pediatrician. Within each of those sections, presentations were made by our team, giving registrants a well-rounded educational seminar.

Morris, M.D., was thrilled with the outcome of POES. “Although we had to make adjustments to this year’s symposium, we were able to provide a great learning opportunity for our fellow medical professionals and were able to reach a broader audience across three states with the virtual platform,” says Morris. “Now, more than ever, it is important to share the latest care and treatment techniques with the medical community – making sure all children are receiving the best care, even before they come to Scottish Rite.”
